Africa Carries the Burden. Help Us Change the Data.

Africa accounts for 25% of the world's disease burden, yet contributes just 3% of global health data. MyMedikoz is closing that gap, one health record at a time.

The Problem

Africa Has a Health Data Gap. We Are Closing It.

Most global health solutions are built on data that does not include Africa. The research, the clinical benchmarks, the treatment guidelines were developed largely without African patients. The result is a healthcare system that serves some people well and leaves others to navigate it without the tools they need.

MyMedikoz is being piloted in Uganda, where over 98.9% of the population is uninsured. Most people pay out of pocket, move between facilities without a shared record, and rely on whatever history they can remember when they walk into a new clinic.

We are building the infrastructure to change that, giving patients a continuous health record they own and carry with them, and making it possible for their data to contribute to a more complete picture of health across Africa.

80%

"If Africa's health data does not exist, Africa's health does not exist in the systems that matter. We are building the proof that it does."

Built From a Problem
She Lived Herself.

Geraldine's mother lives with chronic neurological migraines. It is a long, exhausting journey walking from clinic to clinic in search for hope, each visit starting from zero. No records. No history. No continuity.

Without access to her medical history, the wrong prescriptions came. The misdiagnoses came. The panic came. There were moments where the absence of a simple health record nearly cost her mother her life. Not because the doctors were bad. Because the information that could have saved time, prevented harm, and guided the right decision simply did not exist in any accessible form.

"Every clinic we walked into, we had to start the story again. Nobody should have to struggle to remember their medical history while they are already fighting for their life."

That experience became the foundation of MyMedikoz. A personal health record that travels with you, grows with you, and speaks for you when you are too exhausted to speak for yourself.

MyMedikoz started in Uganda's Wakiso District with a working prototype and a promise. Since then it has secured a grant through Ele-vate AI, recognition from the Africa CDC Health Tech Accelerator, and a Presidential Award for impact in AI and health in Uganda.

But Geraldine is not building for today. She is building for the day when a researcher in Geneva, a policymaker in Nairobi, or a doctor in Kampala can finally access the kind of longitudinal, community-driven health data that tells the true story of African health, not the story written about Africa from outside, but the one written by Africans themselves.

That is the company you would be funding. That is the mission you would be joining.
